History in the Making

We’re proud to support and sponsor the Fitzroy Stars Football & Netball Club. Sport plays such an important role in celebrating culture, bringing people together, and creating pathways for young players to grow both on and off the court. Partnering with Fitzroy Stars Football & Netball Club allows us to give back to community while championing the talent, teamwork, and spirit it inspires.

Kaelun Brown:

I couldn’t be prouder of this incredible group of women. Next Sunday, the Fitzroy Stars Football & Netball Club will compete in its first-ever Senior Women’s Division Two Grand Final a historic moment in our club’s long and proud journey.

This pioneering team has broken barriers, pushed through setbacks, and shown the kind of resilience that inspires generations. In my three years coaching, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges that First Nations women face both on and off the field. Inequity, unconscious bias, and even conscious bias are real obstacles, yet these women continue to rise above them with courage, pride, and determination.

To witness their growth, not only as footballers striving to play at the highest standard but also as leaders creating safer and stronger pathways for future female athletes, is something our entire club is deeply proud of. This journey has never just been about football. It’s about supporting families with employment, housing, and care because that’s the right thing to do.

Making it to a Grand Final is special. But this team isn’t finished yet. They’re hungry, determined, and ready for the big stage. A win for the Stars will be so much more than just a victory on the scoreboard it will be a win for our community, and for the generations who are already looking up to these role models.

🌟 Go Stars! 🌟
